AMD Threadripper Leak Hints 96 Core Monster

AMD might showcase new Ryzen Threadripper desktop chips at Computex 2025. Most information about these powerful "Shimada Peak" 9000WX processors comes from leaks rather than official sources. Three more model numbers appeared online earlier this month as people searched for details about a future 96-core "9995WX" version. AMD has not listed any Threadripper products for Jack Huynh's upcoming speech.

Fresh evidence suggests these chips may arrive soon. GIGABYTE released a F10a BIOS update for TRX50 AERO D motherboards that mentions "Next Gen CPU Support." The German tech site PCGH discovered that these processors will have multiple 3D V-Cache memory stacks. Gamers who need massive processing power may finally benefit from these chips despite their expected high prices. Users can set up one, two, or four memory stacks through the motherboard settings.

The processors will work with existing LGA4844 sockets. With proper updates, they should run on both TRX50 and WRX90 chipsets. Computer makers likely have test samples already since motherboard support exists. The 3D V-Cache gives these chips extra memory that speeds up performance in many applications.
