Artists prep sparks show, promise art for the everyday crowd

Artists at a Bulawayo gallery are gearing up for a tight group show, polishing their pieces for a shared exhibition. The event brings together eleven resident creators like Abigail Hunda and Talent Kapadza across painting, photography, and functional art. Their collective work revolves around a central idea of initial creative sparks.

Hunda, a visual artist and radio presenter, focuses on abstract expressionism to tackle modern themes. Her pieces address issues like wildlife conservation and digital advocacy. She described the exhibition as an exploration of small moments fueling creativity and personal change.

Each contributor will present a unique take on concepts like resilience, heritage, and identity. Hunda extended an open invitation for all community members to attend, not just regular gallery visitors. She hopes the display encourages people to reflect on impactful moments in their own lives.
