Tanzania has announced it will host Africa's first major fresh produce and flower trade exhibition, named Horti Logistica Africa. The event, a collaboration between the Tanzania Horticultural Association and the government, will be held annually in Arusha starting in June 2026. It is designed to be a premier Pan-African professional trade fair for the horticultural industry.
Gerald Mweli, the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture, stated that Tanzania is the pioneer country for this initiative and that the government is fully committed to supporting its realization. The event aims to connect African growers with international buyers, showcase new technologies, and promote sustainable practices across the fruit and vegetable supply chain.
TAHA CEO Dr. Jacqueline Mkindi explained that the exhibition will bring the world to Arusha, providing a vital platform for farmers and exporters who face logistical and visa challenges when traveling to international fairs. She said it will unite global buyers, technology suppliers, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and streamline market access.
