Asus shrugs at PC woes as AI servers print money

While you cry about RAM prices, ASUS is printing billions selling AI servers. Chairman Jonney Shih bragged at a company bash about the server division exploding. They raked in NT$100 billion, or roughly 3.1 billion dollars. That massive pile of cash makes up twenty percent of their total earnings, smashing earlier predictions. Pivoting to infrastructure saved them from the memory shortage disaster currently wrecking the consumer market.

Being buddies with NVIDIA pays off big time. This firm acts as a major vendor for server racks and pushes heavy hardware like Blackwell Ultra-based AI PODs. They also slang HGX systems, such as the B300, to hungry clients. Their Infrastructure Solutions Group effectively built a safety net against the failing personal computer sector.

Shih basically told everyone they are going full send on artificial intelligence. This shift provides a backup plan if DRAM supplies dry up completely for regular builds. The supply chain desperately needs more players, and this Taiwanese giant happily stepped up to fill that void. Expect them to lean harder into enterprise gear as restructuring becomes necessary for survival.
