Bank of Industry will keep helping young business owners through technology centers across Nigeria. Dr Olasupo Olusi leads the bank and spoke at Obafemi Awolowo University during an awards ceremony Wednesday. He wants the country to move past small programs toward major changes that help millions of people. The bank plans to connect policies with partnerships and platforms for better results. Nigeria needs youth-focused industrial plans that cover skills, money, buildings and government support.
These four areas will help current young business leaders and shape tomorrow's Nigeria. BOI has big plans for the next three years through several important projects. The bank starts an Industrial Innovation Fund with the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology. This fund will pay for research grants, prototype building, business investments and loans for young people in digital and creative fields.
BOI creates impact funds using different money tools from loans to ownership stakes. These funds support fast-growing companies, key supply chain businesses and struggling enterprises around Nigeria. Olusi believes strategic investment, innovation and inclusion predict the future best. He thanked OAU officials for giving him an Award of Excellence. Vice-Chancellor Simeon Banire praised Olusi for his ideas about technology centers driving economic growth.
