The Bulawayo Arts Awards finally came back after a two-year break. The eighth edition happened at the ZITF Hall 3, celebrating local artistry and honoring several late legends. Five major awards were renamed for contributors Sihlangu Dlodlo, Pathisa Nyathi, Ishmael Muvingi, Babongile Sikhonjwa, and Desire Moyoxide. DJ Mzoe took home the People's Choice Award, winning a Toyota Aqua. Hosts Bkay, Lady Tshawe, and Nozinhle Evelyn Gumede ran the ceremony smoothly, supported by partners like Liquor Supplies and The Smokehouse. Winners across many categories included Elliot Moyo for outstanding arts photographer and the No Name Dance Crew in the Litshe Outstanding Dance Ensemble category. Albertina Manombe and Allen Mahwehwe won for female and male dancers. Theatre awards went to Praise Ncube and Josphat Ndlovu as best actors, with the production Ipi Ntombi winning the Qhube award. Comedian Mbongeni Ignatious and content creator Chik Aljoy won their fields. In the media, Lisa Masuku and Zimpapers Online received awards, while Mjox from Skyz Metro FM was the top radio DJ. Musical winners spanned genres, with Noluntu J for hip hop, MJ Sings for kwaitho, and Bhila in alternative. Vusa Mangena won for gospel. The outstanding song was Jaycee's Ungayithi Vuu. Film and television awards went to A Trap of Trade for best production, with acting honors for Sasha Juliet Zulu and Sikhanyiso Ngwenya. Newcomer of the year was Black Diva. The top overall artist awards went to Mzoe 7 for male and Abigail Mabuza for female. Joseph Nyapimpi received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
