The Bulawayo Arts Awards finally came back after a two-year break. The eighth edition happened at the ZITF Hall 3, celebrating local artistry and honoring several late legends. Five major awards were renamed for contributors Sihlangu Dlodlo, Pathisa Nyathi, Ishmael Muvingi, Babongile Sikhonjwa, and Desire Moyoxide. DJ Mzoe took home the People's Choice Award, winning a Toyota Aqua. Hosts Bkay, Lady Tshawe, and Nozinhle Evelyn Gumede ran the ceremony smoothly, supported by partners like Liquor Supplies and The Smokehouse.
Winners across many categories included Elliot Moyo for outstanding arts photographer and the No Name Dance Crew in the Litshe Outstanding Dance Ensemble category. Albertina Manombe and Allen Mahwehwe won for female and male dancers. Theatre awards went to Praise Ncube and Josphat Ndlovu as best actors, with the production Ipi Ntombi winning the Qhube award. Comedian Mbongeni Ignatious and content creator Chik Aljoy won their fields. In the media, Lisa Masuku and Zimpapers Online received awards, while Mjox from Skyz Metro FM was the top radio DJ.
