Côte d’Ivoire launches MaPoste app for digital postal services

Ivory Coast bureaucracy just got a massive digital upgrade thanks to a new smartphone app. ONECI and La Poste de Côte d'Ivoire officially dropped MaPoste during a gathering at Hotel Azalaï de Marcory. The software lets anyone holding a National Identification Number access a virtual mailbox plus various government functions straight from their mobile device without leaving the couch.

Big shots from the local tech scene showed up, featuring heavy hitters like ARTCI, ANSSI, ANSUT, and CEPICI. They claim this project mixes over 200 brick-and-mortar branches with online utilities for a phygital vibe. The system utilizes the National Register of Natural Persons alongside verified credentials to keep everything secure while ditching old-school physical keys entirely.

Users can supposedly order their national identity card to arrive at any specific destination. The platform also handles requests for paperwork like birth or marriage certificates, criminal records, nationality documents, and residence permits. This setup aims to build trust while modernizing how the state handles administrative nightmares through traceable data protection.
