The clean-up program started by President Mnangagwa continues seven years later. Yesterday, four independent groups worked together to pick up trash around town. The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission teamed up with the Media Commission, Gender Commission, and Human Rights Commission for this monthly activity. They all pitched in because the President asked everyone back on December 5, 2018, to clean up on the first Friday each month.
Michael Reza, who runs ZACC, believes these clean-ups really matter for the country. He reminded folks that the President wants citizens to keep their surroundings tidy every month. Reza mentioned how people often say clean places connect to godly living. He pushed for everyone to maintain neat workplaces and public areas throughout Zimbabwe.
Professor Ruby Magosvongwe from the Media Commission added her thoughts during the event. She called the activity an extension of what the President asked citizens to do. The professor hoped everyone had already cleaned their offices before joining the public effort. She suggested that outside cleaning should match the inner cleanliness people maintain at home and work.

They later moved along Herbert Chitepo Avenue, where they thoroughly removed litter near Harare Gardens and around ZACC headquarters.
