A young married couple died in a terrible crash on the Harare-Chirundu Highway on Thursday. Kelvin Chimombe, 26, and Charmaine Tembo, 18, had been married just four months when they became victims at the notorious accident spot. They were among six people who lost their lives instantly at the 214km marker.
The pair married earlier this year in January. Tembo grew up in Chirundu with her sister, Melisa Ushemakota, who told reporters she raised Tembo as her sister. Before her marriage, Tembo worked as a hairdresser at a local salon. Their mothers were sisters, creating a close bond between them.
