A killer Devil May Cry three mod called Crimson launches next month with changes that look worthy of an official remake. Players can grab the beta on May 13, as shown in a five-minute trailer packed with awesome upgrades for PC gamers. The mod adds aerial combat inertia for complex combos, plus the Guardfly mechanic that lets Dante fly around using Royal Guard abilities, just like in Devil May Cry 4. It also features better jump cancel hitboxes, longer enemy juggle time, new HUD designs, and weapon-switching similar to what Nintendo Switch players already enjoy.
Devil May Cry made headlines again thanks to the Netflix animated show, which scored a second season renewal. The game series' future remains unclear since director Hideaki Itsuno left CAPCOM last year to join Tencent's LightSpeed team. Fans hope the TV show's success might push the publisher to keep making games even without Itsuno leading development.
