Housing minister Ahmed Musa Dangiwa told state governments they need to set aside one to three percent of their yearly budgets for land administration and getting titles sorted out. He said proper land governance is the best way to hit a trillion-dollar economy, and he laid this out at the 30th Conference of Directors of Lands. International numbers show land ministries usually work with about one percent of total public spending, and Dangiwa thinks half that money should go straight to actual services like digital registries and surveys instead of office furniture.
