The first line will stretch from Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block, featuring eight elevated stations. A second corridor connects Inderlok to Indraprastha, mostly underground. These two lines share a combined budget, with the city funding a portion of the total expense.
A third, longer route will run from Rithala to Kundli in Haryana, including numerous stations. This corridor's cost is split between Delhi and the neighboring state. The extensive network will serve areas across northern, central, and southern Delhi, plus the NCR region.
Officials claim the construction will ease road traffic and encourage public transit use. The project is framed as a move toward a modern transport system for future needs. It promises safer, faster travel while cutting reliance on private cars.
