A doctor wants better medical care for people living at Ndiyona settlement. Dr Mathias Luemba works at Nyangana District Hospital and spoke at a recent community meeting. He told regional leaders that 20 people have died from food poisoning since 2023. The deaths happened at Ndiyona where no medical clinic exists. Community members must travel nine kilometers to reach the nearest hospital when they become sick.
