The Democratic Progressive Party said sorry to former President Bakili Muluzi after harsh words from party official Sameer Suleman. Suleman made the comments after UDF President Atupele Muluzi spoke at a rally in Machinga district. Esnath Kaliza Banda from Lilongwe wrote on Facebook that Atupele might join the MCP party. She said this could help answer questions about Vice President Chilima's mysterious death in June 2024. Banda thinks Atupele could break the silence around what really happened in the Chikangawa forest crash. She believes the MCP has not told people the full truth about the tragedy.
