His organization works on policy research and helps solve conflicts across Africa. Mulata takes over from Lieutenant General Njuki Mwaniki, who previously held the position. Ruto also removed Joseph Kimani Machiri from the State Corporations Advisory Committee. John Karondo will take his place on the committee for three years. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen appointed Meldah Adung a drug control analyst. Defense Secretary Soipan Tuya named Simon Mwacha to join the Kenya Shipyards Limited board. Agriculture Secretary Mutahi Kagwe made several appointments to different agricultural organizations. Kagwe appointed four new members to the Agricultural Finance Corporation board.
