President William Ruto picked retired Lieutenant General Adan Mulata to lead the National Youth Service board. Mulata founded Peace Prospect Institute-Africa and will serve three years as the non-executive chairperson. The appointment appeared in official government notices dated May 23, 2025. His organization works on policy research and helps solve conflicts across Africa. Mulata takes over from Lieutenant General Njuki Mwaniki, who previously held the position.
