Faith Leaders Praise Zimbabwe's Growth Under Second Republic

Leaders Call for Unity Behind Zimbabwe's Progress.

Zimbabwe's leaders want people to see the bright side of their country's growth. They say some critics are wrong to dismiss the good changes happening in the nation.

The country has grown stronger in farming, mining, and tourism since 2017. President Mnangagwa started a plan called "Zimbabwe is Open for Business" to bring in more money from other countries.

Dry weather and rules from Western nations that limit trade have made times difficult, but the country's supporters say it keeps moving forward.

At a church service in Bulawayo, Reverend Andrew Wutawunashe addressed President Mnangagwa and many others. He said Zimbabwe had made big steps forward in the past seven years.

The Information Minister, Dr. Jenfan Muswere, pointed to new roads and buildings as signs of success. He said farming has grown by more than 300 percent, which helps feed more people, even though the dry weather hurts some crops.

Church leaders shared hope for the future. Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi said hard work would help beat any problems. He asked people to stay strong as the country grows.

President Mnangagwa thanked God for helping Zimbabwe become free from old rulers and promised to keep working to improve the country.

Chief Mtshane Khumalo backed the president's idea that everyone should help build the nation. He said local leaders would work hard to improve their areas.

The government wants Zimbabwe to become a richer country by 2030. Leaders say this dream can come true if everyone works together.
