Fraud Fiasco Mpofu Chimombe Exposed in Goat Scam

Two men called Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe were supposed to go to court today. They needed to explain what happened to some money from a special project that helps people raise goats. The court has moved their meeting to February 20 because the lawyer's family member died.

The lawyer, Mr Dzvetero, must attend a funeral. Judge Kwenda understood this and said everyone should come back next week. People across Zimbabwe want to know what will happen because this is a very important case.

These men tried many times to stop the court from investigating their actions. They even asked to stay out of jail until the court finished. The judge said no because he worried they might run away. If people found out they did something wrong, they could go to prison for twenty years.

The police think these men made fake papers. They put wrong information on special papers from places called ZIMRA and NSSA. They wanted to sell goats to farmers through a program the president made to help people. The police found out the papers had the wrong numbers on them. The company they said owned the papers closed down many years ago in 2016.
