Ghana gets its first shaman and spiritual healers

Soul Travel Ghana held its first graduation ceremony for people who studied spiritual healing. The event happened at Kasoa-Opeikuma on Saturday June 21st where five students finished their training. Ola Maame leads the group and watched one person become a full Shaman. Four others became Spiritual Healers after studying for five years. Many community members came to watch the special ceremony.

The students and their teacher ate kolanuts and salt during the event. Ola Maame explained this ritual creates a promise between all of them. She said it stops people from working against each other. The ceremony helps everyone support each other rather than cause problems. This tradition protects the group from harmful actions.

Ola Maame gave money to twenty business owners during the ceremony. Each person received 500 cedis to help their companies grow stronger. She believes spiritual powers will help these businesses succeed. The leader wants to stop companies from failing after they start doing well. This gift shows how the group helps the wider community.

The Ghana Federation of Traditional Medicine Practitioners spoke at the event. Their secretary told the new graduates to register with the federation. This registration will protect them from police problems when they work. The training center has proper licenses for teaching these skills. Registration gives the graduates official permission to practice healing.

Three women and two men completed the program successfully. Happy Nukafu, Rose Amegadzi, and Blessing Amu were the female graduates. Emmanuel Fobih and Samson Annor-Addo finished as the male students. Some will leave to work elsewhere but others will stay with Ola Maame.
