Ghana winger Bonsu Baah set for transfer to Saudi club Al Qadsiah

Ghana soccer player Christopher Bonsu Baah appears ready to join Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah FC. The 20-year-old winger currently plays for Belgian team Genk. Negotiations between the clubs have reached final stages. Officials expect the transfer to finish within days. Al Qadsiah competes at the highest level of Saudi professional soccer.

Genk signed Bonsu Baah from Norwegian club Sarpsborg during 2023. The Belgian team paid 5.2 million euros for his services. His new contract should bring Genk significantly more money than their original investment. The exact transfer amount remains private between both clubs. Bonsu Baah has a deal with Genk that runs through summer 2028.

The young athlete has appeared in 90 games across all competitions for Genk. He scored five goals and helped teammates score seven more times. His strong performance over two seasons attracted attention from multiple teams. Soccer experts believe he could develop into an even better player. His age gives him many years to improve his skills.

Reports suggest Bonsu Baah might play one or two seasons in Saudi Arabia. He could return to European soccer after gaining more experience. The player recently earned his first appearance for Ghana's national team. He participated in Unity Cup matches held in London earlier this month. The transfer would represent one of Genk's most profitable player sales in recent years.
