The Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment teamed up with the Youth Employment Agency to launch new committees that will run the government's Work Abroad Programme. They held this event at the Ministry's meeting room, where people from many government offices and world groups came together. YEA boss Malik Basintale cleared up wrong ideas about the program, saying it aims to help trained Ghanaians find jobs overseas.
Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, who heads the Labour Ministry, said the government wants to fix youth joblessness through partnerships with other countries. He explained that MLJE and YEA created this program to offer short-term, seasonal, contract, and full-time work for young Ghanaians in partner nations. The plan has many goals - making sure people move between countries safely, helping youth become more employable, cutting down unemployment rates, growing the economy, and helping workers who return home.
