Infrastructure Development Company Limited partnered with SME Foundation to conduct a focused group discussion addressing cottage, micro, small and medium enterprise development challenges. Entrepreneurs, financial institutions, regulators and development partners participated in the session examining potential solutions for Bangladesh's CMSME sector. Chief Executive Alamgir Morshed highlighted that these enterprises generate 25 percent of gross domestic product while providing employment for more than 34 million citizens. The sector faces a substantial financing shortfall exceeding 73 billion dollars, which limits growth opportunities. IDCOL has spent two decades promoting sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy and financial inclusion initiatives.
