Intel Arrow Lake Refresh is expected to bring higher clocks and improved AI performance

Intel plans to drop their Arrow Lake Refresh chips during the second half of 2025. Tech insiders claim these updated processors will pack faster speeds and smarter AI features. The company wants to squeeze out more performance before their Nova Lake S arrives in 2026. Computer makers expect these refresh chips to deliver modest gains over current models. Gaming fans might feel disappointed since these upgrades probably won't crush AMD's Ryzen 9000 series.

The biggest news centers around Intel's new NPU4 technology for artificial intelligence tasks. Current Core Ultra 200S chips only manage 13 NPU TOPS, which falls short of Microsoft's Copilot+ requirements. Arrow Lake Refresh processors will jump to 48 NPU TOPS thanks to the same NPU4 found in Lunar Lake laptops. This massive boost should finally earn Intel the Copilot+ badge that many users want. The AI performance leap represents a major step forward for desktop computing.

Clock speeds will receive minor bumps across the refreshed lineup. Intel typically follows this pattern with their refresh generations, giving buyers slightly faster performance. Reports suggest these improvements won't match the impressive 14 percent gains that Raptor Lake Refresh delivered. Gamers hoping to beat AMD's upcoming X3D chips might need to wait longer. The refresh appears focused more on AI capabilities than raw gaming muscle.
