Joburg Super Kings bought Blessing Muzarabani for R500,000

Blessing Muzarabani is Joburg Super Kings' R500,000 auction pick. Nobody else made a bid when the 30-year-old Zimbabwean fast bowler came up at the SA20 sale. Joburg got the deal with no fuss.

His first SA20 stint will come in season five. But T20 league play is far from new for him. His past gigs span the Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, and Bangladesh Premier League. The guy has played in quite a few leagues.

Joburg also signed Faf du Plessis, a former South Africa captain. Kieron Pollard brings his West Indies all-round skills, while Jason Rowles adds young South African talent in the same role. The club has quite a mix of players to work with.

St George's Park will host the first game, with title holder Sunrisers Eastern Cape set to face Pretoria Capitals. Newlands in Cape Town gets the final. Joburg will aim to claim the title with its new squad.
