Jurel turns the cricket pitch into an army parade ground

India wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel celebrated his first Test century on Friday by performing a military march drill with his bat to honor his father, a retired Indian Army havildar and Kargil War veteran. The 25-year-old from Agra scored 125 off 210 balls with 12 boundaries and two sixes in the first Test against the West Indies. Jurel built a 206-run fifth-wicket partnership with Ravindra Jadeja and displayed confident footwork against spinners before edging a drive to the wicketkeeper.

His innings helped India reach 448 for 5 in 128 overs at stumps, establishing a 286-run lead. Jadeja remained unbeaten on 104 and added 122 runs with Washington Sundar in the final session. Jurel replaced the injured Rishabh Pant at No. 5 and anchored the innings with patience before accelerating against Jomel Warrican.
