Kemper just made their small amp and effects modeller way better with a free update. They released Profiler OS 12.1 as a public beta that adds tons of cool stuff to the Profiler Player. Musicians can enjoy new distortion models, real-time control over parameters, extra EQ options, and another stereo output without paying a penny more.
The latest software brings all the famous guitar effects from the bigger Kemper models right to the compact Player. You'll find Green Scream based on the Tube Screamer, Plus DS similar to Distortion +, One DS like the DS-1, Muffin copying the Big Muff, Mouse inspired by the Rat, Full OC matching the OCD, and Metal DS mimicking the Metal Zone. These classic pedal sounds let players shape their tone exactly how they want.
Parameter Morphing stands out as a game-changing addition that lets users smoothly blend between different settings using a pedal or button. The system added two separate four-band EQs for the Main Output and Monitor Output. Plus, players can transform the balanced Main Output into an unbalanced stereo output, creating a third analog stereo connection for their setup.
This expanded output capability means performers can send a Full-Range signal to front-of-house speakers at the same time they run one or two Kemper Kabinets, powered stereo speakers, or regular guitar cabinets for monitoring. Anyone can download this update free from the Kemper website. The Profiler Player itself costs €699 for those who want to purchase the hardware.
