Kenya, Egypt Ink 12 Deals to Boost Ties.

NAIROBI, Kenya - Kenya and Egypt have signed a dozen agreements. The deals aim to enhance cooperation in various sectors.

President William Ruto announced the pacts on Wednesday. He said they cover trade, investment, education, and technology.

The agreements include political consultations and diplomatic training. They also involve investment, gender equality, and maritime partnerships.

Youth empowerment, higher education, and research are also part of the deals. Other areas are telecoms, IT, space, governance, and development.

Housing, construction, and urban planning will see increased collaboration as well.

Ruto revealed that more accords are coming soon. They will address customs, security, tourism, mining, and the blue economy.

Sports development and a water grant agreement are also in the works.

"These will strengthen our shared vision for growth and progress," Ruto said.

The president proposed a Joint Business Council. It will explore new trade and investment opportunities.

Ruto said they discussed ways to remove trade barriers and simplify regulations, which would create a more efficient trading environment.

Kenya and Egypt have long worked together on peace and security in Africa. Ruto praised Egyptian President El-Sisi for his leadership in this area.

The Kenyan leader expressed confidence in the growing partnership between the two nations.
