Kenya Budget Bombshell Leaves Hopefuls Reeling

Moses Kuria says most people running for president have no clue what the job really means. He points out that Kenya must pay Sh1.3 trillion for debts from past spending mistakes. The country spends Sh1.7 trillion to keep the government running. About Sh680 billion goes to pay workers, whom many call wasteful. No one can fix this problem because jobless Kenyans defend civil servants who take resources from everyone else.

The government runs many social programs, like Free Education for Sh700 billion. It gives Sh400 billion to state companies that do little good. Counties receive Sh471 billion that nobody can question without being called anti-county. Only Sh291 billion remains for real progress—just 6.9% of all money. Kuria wishes good luck to anyone brave enough to run for president with these money troubles.
