Kindiki blames opposition for fueling unrest, touts government projects in Kajiado

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki blamed opposition politicians for recent violence during his visit to Kajiado West. He accused these leaders of destroying property and causing deaths through divisive rhetoric. Kindiki urged Kenyans to reject tribal politics and embrace national unity. The deputy president emphasized that peaceful cooperation would advance the country's development goals. His remarks came during economic empowerment tours led by Presidential Aide Farouk Kibet.

The government plans to construct 400 fresh produce markets across Kenya. Kajiado County will receive 14 of these facilities in areas like Namanga and Kitengela. Officials also announced 340 student housing units worth 165 million shillings for technical colleges. The administration promotes job creation through overseas employment and technology hubs. Kindiki highlighted the completed Ngong-Suswa road improvements that enhance regional transportation.

Health insurance registration reached 24.7 million citizens nationwide under the Social Health Authority program. Kajiado County recorded 500,000 registrations from its 1.1 million residents. The government targets enrollment of 50 million Kenyans in the health scheme.
