Koskei calls out bandit antics in North Rift

Felix Koskei came down hard on bandits who caused trouble in the North Rift area of Kenya. As Head of Public Service, he promised the government would fight these criminals who have stopped growth in that region. He talked about this at Koloa Secondary School during a Thanksgiving event there. He wants to change the area from what he calls a valley of death into a safe place.

His tough talk happened right after the bandits killed a chief. The murder took place during a raid in Loruk, located in Baringo North when the chief got caught in gunfire. Koskei made it clear they plan to make Tiaty safer despite all the problems. He stressed they refuse to let anyone label North Rift as dangerous forever.

Koskei shared words from the President, saying they could turn the entire place into an army base if needed. The main goal remains bringing progress to this part of Kenya, no matter what it takes. Other leaders from the area stood with Koskei during his speech. They asked everyone to work together to create new opportunities.

These leaders believe better development projects might help local people find different ways to make money. This approach could reduce the appeal of criminal activities like banditry. They hope creating more jobs and income options will make the community stronger and safer for everyone living there.
