She said all public buildings have to get modified by 2029 to make them accessible, and anyone who ignores the deadline will catch legal heat. Federation of Disability Organizations board chair Mapopa Shaba pushed back on the ministry to actually follow through on policies instead of making empty promises. He wants sign language rolled out everywhere so communication barriers disappear. Traditional Authority Mzukuzuku backed the plan but said communities and officials need to step up education and welfare programs.
