Meet Roland's new digital flute, the Aerophone Brisa

Roland introduces the Aerophone Brisa as the newest addition to their digital wind instrument collection. This flute-style device breaks tradition from previous saxophone-based models within the Aerophone series. The company targets flutists, wind musicians, and beginners with this lightweight design. Musicians can access 100 different sounds through the SuperNATURAL Winds engine. The instrument covers various wind instruments, orchestral strings, world music sounds, and electronic tones.

Players control the device through a dual breath sensor system that enables octave switching between two mouthpiece openings. Body movements activate vibrato and pitch effects through motion detection technology. The Brisa supports multiple fingering patterns for flute, trumpet, and specialized modes. Built-in harmony features expand creative options during performance. Rechargeable batteries power the internal speaker while USB-C and Bluetooth connections enable recording and wireless control.

The Aerophone Brisa becomes available in November 2025 for 1,699 euros or 1,439 pounds. Roland plans to release a companion mobile application during the fourth quarter of 2025. This software will provide editing tools and cloud integration services.
