Mithun Manhas won election as Board of Control for Cricket in India president during Sunday's Annual General Meeting. The former Delhi cricketer replaces Roger Binny, who resigned from the position in August 2025. Rajeev Shukla served as interim president before the vote. Manhas becomes the third ex-player to lead the cricket board after Sourav Ganguly and Binny.
The 45-year-old batsman represented Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir during his playing career. He scored 9,714 runs across 147 first-class matches with a batting average of 45.82. Manhas played for three IPL teams between the league's start and 2014. The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association nominated him for the presidency role.
