Mnangagwa backs youth drive in agriculture, mining

President Mnangagwa has been trying to help Zimbabwe's youth succeed through several money programs that started in late 2017. He gave them US$10 million for farming projects plus US$5 million for mining equipment because he believed young people protected the country from outside control. These programs follow his "Nyika Inovakwa ne Vene Vayo" idea that everyone should help build the nation without leaving anyone behind.

At the recent Presidential Youth Fund launch, Mnangagwa told young people to work hard with the resources they receive. He stressed these funds aren't free handouts but loans that must be paid back to help others later. The President appointed Dr Paul Tungwarara to manage the fund, promising an additional US$10 million from a US$50 million irrigation project specifically for youth agriculture.

Young Zimbabweans need to prove themselves with these opportunities through hard work. They should use modern technology for farming and mining, team up with others, learn new skills, help their communities, and act honestly in business. The government wants them to restore Zimbabwe as the "Bread Basket" and "Jewel of Africa"—famous titles the country once held.

These programs represent more than just money—they challenge youth to transform Zimbabwe's future. If they succeed, they'll create economic growth for themselves and their nation.
