Mnangagwa heads to Uganda for people centred progress

Zimbabwe wants to help create growth that puts people first worldwide, especially in Africa. President Mnangagwa made this clear after landing in Uganda yesterday. He leads the Southern African Development Community (SADC) right now. Today, he joins other presidents at a big meeting about making Africa better.

The meeting has a name: the 11th Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development. Everyone there will talk about creating jobs and growing money through ways that last. They want to use science and facts to reach goals set for 2030 and 2063. When President Mnangagwa arrived at Entebbe airport, officials from both Uganda and Zimbabwe greeted him.

He wrote online about his trip, saying Zimbabwe cares deeply about building a rich Africa. He believes this happens through growth that helps regular people and uses new ideas. Countries must work together to reach their big plans for the future. As SADC leader, he will speak on a special panel with six other African presidents.

These leaders include President Ruto from Kenya, President Tinubu from Nigeria, and others who lead major African groups. The meeting comes at just the right time because Africa faces problems meeting its goals. Most targets remain far away, and some areas have even gone backward instead of forward.

The meeting connects to both world goals and special African plans for growth. Before flying to Uganda, Zimbabwe's Foreign Minister explained the President's trip. He said President Mnangagwa will help discuss how to pay for all the important changes Africa needs. The big meeting brings together many different people who care about making Africa stronger.

Officials, experts, and others will examine the progress made, problems faced, and new opportunities to grow better. Regional groups like SADC and the East African Community must make strong statements about what happens next. Their decisions affect millions of people across the continent.
