A veteran parliamentary official just landed the top seat at The Gambia's civic education body after the previous council's term ran out.

• Momodou A. Sise got the nod from President Adama Barrow.
• His appointment kicked in on 1 March 2026.
• Sise previously served as Clerk of the National Assembly.

• Mariama Chow and Fatou Sosseh Jallow were appointed.

• Sise holds a Master's in Management with 30-plus years of service.
• His career started at the Department of Internal Audit.
• Ministry of Trade and the National Assembly roles followed.
• From 2018 to 2024, he was the Assembly's top procedural adviser.
