No Rest For The Wicked Breach Update Flops on Steam

Moon Studios added lots of fresh content to No Rest for the Wicked with its Breach update. The game world almost doubled in size with new areas called Lowland Meadows and Marin Woods that bring a dangerous Blight hazard. Players can visit two new settlements and explore dark caves throughout these lands.

The action role-playing game offers more weapon choices - over 150 total - with new Gauntlet and Wand types for players to find. Gamers face new boss fights, nine new Plague bosses, and two new enemy groups during play. Brave players can try Hardcore mode, which ends their game if they die.

Sound improvements came from composer Gareth Coker, along with new voice acting. The team fixed many technical issues and added NVIDIA DLSS 4 support for better performance. Faster load times and better physics make the game run smoother than before.

Sadly, players gave the update mostly bad reviews on Steam, with only 36% positive ratings. The Austrian game studio bought back its license from publisher Private Division and is working alone on the game. Despite current problems, the game shows great promise, as noted in early reports.
