Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi traveled to Tehran for diplomatic consultations with Iranian officials. Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni greeted the Pakistani delegation at Imam Khomeini International Airport. Ambassador Muhammad Mudassir Tipu and Consul Aftab Butt joined other diplomatic personnel for the welcoming ceremony. High-ranking Iranian Interior Ministry representatives attended the airport reception. The visit centers on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the neighboring nations.

Both ministers conducted extensive discussions regarding mutual concerns and regional security matters. Momeni expressed enthusiasm about advancing Pakistan-Iran diplomatic relations through the ministerial exchange. Naqvi emphasized the fraternal connection between the two countries during their initial meeting. Cross-border security and pilgrimage management dominated their bilateral conversations. The Pakistani minister conveyed greetings to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Pakistan requested a trilateral conference addressing pilgrim affairs and border challenges. Iranian and Iraqi interior ministers will participate in the Tehran summit alongside their Pakistani counterpart.
