Pax Dei Steam flop gets reset, devs pray PC Game Pass saves Mainframe

Finnish studio Mainframe Industries and publisher New Tales will release Pax Dei version 1.0 on Oct. 16. The social sandbox MMORPG has remained in Steam Early Access since June 18, 2024, but user reviews show a 54 percent approval rating. Recent feedback drops to 38 percent positive responses.

Founders gain access on Oct. 14 and receive a free copy to share with another player. All users will start fresh on new servers with reset characters when the game launches. The title costs $29.99 through the official website, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

The base package provides two character slots and one month of Premium Membership for $6.99 monthly. Premium status grants 50 percent bonuses to experience points and currency offerings. Members can construct homes within the game world.

Mainframe Industries plans post-release content updates through 2026. The roadmap features clan warfare systems and economic expansions in future versions.
