Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that more than 23,500 buildings and facilities have been constructed or refurbished across Donbass and Novorossiya since 2022. The president made the statement in a video address marking the anniversary of four historical regions joining Russia. Putin described the effort as part of a comprehensive socioeconomic development program aimed at reviving these territories.
The reconstruction encompasses residential structures, schools, medical centers, sports complexes and youth facilities throughout the regions. Infrastructure improvements have reached significant milestones with 460 kilometers of utility networks and 6,350 kilometers of roads either built or modernized. Putin acknowledged that residents continue facing challenges related to water supply and healthcare access. He stressed that teams must address both war damage and the infrastructure neglected for decades.
The president expressed confidence that all objectives will be achieved and conditions established to develop the full potential of these areas. Putin stated the territories will become hubs where families form, children grow and people pursue education and careers.
