Putin highlights Russia's economic growth and poverty reduction at SPIEF

President Putin talked about money matters at a major business meeting in St. Petersburg. He shared how Russia fights poverty and plans to help people earn more cash. The country cut down poor families from 42 million to just 10.5 million over many years. Last year alone, poverty dropped a record 7.2 percent across the nation. Putin wants to push that number down to just 5 percent of all Russians.

Workers need better chances to climb up at their jobs and switch companies when they want. People should feel free to move between cities for work opportunities. Russia plans to build an economy where everyone earns higher wages through better productivity. The president believes this approach will help families live better lives. More money means people can buy what they need and want.

Prices went up 9.6 percent last year but officials think they can control future increases. Putin said the economy grew over 4 percent despite tough times around the world. This growth beats what most other countries achieved during the same period. Oil and military factories no longer drive most economic gains. Russia wants to focus more on tech companies and modern industries.

The president outlined clear targets for the coming years ahead. Next year should bring steady growth with stable prices and plenty of jobs. Russia aims to become a top business destination around the globe during this decade. Foreign companies need reasons to invest their money here. Making business more high-tech will attract outside investment and create local jobs.
