Nacon and Teyon announced RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business will launch July 17 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. The standalone expansion builds on the success of the first-person shooter that became Nacon's biggest release ever. The new story takes place after players defeated the New Guy in Town from the 2023 game. It centers around OCP's latest project, called OmniTower, a huge housing complex built for Old Detroit residents. Armed mercenaries have taken over the building, forcing RoboCop to step in and restore order.
Players will face many threats inside OmniTower, from flying drones and exploding bots to anti-personnel turrets and deadly traps. Enemy forces include elite troops armed with mini-guns, jetpacks, and katanas. The expansion offers both the classic Auto-9 weapon and a new Cryo Cannon for players to use. RoboCop can also perform new finishing moves like smashing enemies into concrete walls or vending machines.
The expansion lets fans play as police officer Alex Murphy before he became RoboCop. These flashback missions feature familiar characters and help develop his story with voice acting from Peter Weller. The gameplay keeps what made the original game popular - combat, investigation, and light RPG elements. Nacon has not shared pricing details or system requirements yet. Fans can add the game to their wishlists right away.
