Ruto vows to build bigger State House chapel in Nairobi, praises staff and rain

President William Ruto attended Sunday worship services alongside State House employees and their relatives at the chapel located within the Nairobi compound. The temporary structure constructed from metal sheeting has provided spiritual services for staff members for over two decades. Chaplain Bernard Njagi highlighted the facility's importance during the ceremony. The religious leader emphasized how senior clergy members have previously conducted prayers for government leadership within these walls. Children and families gathered with the President following the conclusion of services.

Ruto expressed intentions to develop a larger worship facility that would accommodate more congregants. The head of state believes divine provision will enable the construction of an expanded permanent structure. He commended current chapel administrators for maintaining regular religious programming. The President noted recent favorable weather patterns and agricultural improvements as evidence of divine blessing. Staff members received encouragement from Ruto to maintain dedication within their respective roles and responsibilities.
