The troubles in Congo hurt the dreams passed down from earlier leaders and blocked the goals written in SADC plans. Mnangagwa called for ending the fighting, cooling tensions, and starting talks for lasting peace in Congo immediately. He warned everyone to watch out for new dangers that might threaten their hard-won freedom.
He pointed specifically to the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, which Morocco still influences today. "We must support each other against illegal sanctions or any actions that attack our freedom and land rights," he explained. He added that Africa cannot be truly free until Western Sahara gains independence.
