Senator Calls on Business to Empower War Veterans Children

MP says folks need to help war veterans and their kids because these young people represent our future. Senator Angeline Tongogara spoke at a dinner raising money for the RedRev Youth Empowerment Fund. As the wife of famous military leader General Josiah Tongogara, she knows what matters. She asked everyone to remember the brave people who fought for freedom as Zimbabwe celebrates 45 years of independence.

Senator Tongogara believes we cannot forget these children during economic programs. She warned that ignoring them means forgetting our history as black citizens of Zimbabwe. These young people play a key role in shaping the country's future. She urged everyone at the dinner to invest their resources in helping these families succeed through education and training.

The senator praised both the dinner organizers and groups like Pedzisai Sakupwanya Skills Development Trust. She also thanked Empower Bank for helping the RedRev program reach more people. She directly challenged business owners to recognize they owe their current success to past sacrifices. The freedoms businesses enjoy today came from what these parents did during the liberation struggle.

RedRev was started in 2018 under the Companies Act to run economic projects for young people. They focus on children whose parents fought for Zimbabwe. Their main goal is to ensure nobody forgets what liberation heroes did for the country. The organization provides the tools these descendants need to build successful lives through various training programs and financial support systems.
