He pointed out that a ton of school land just sits empty and could be used for this. Agyiri also mentioned a recent comment from a big shot in the president's agriculture office, who said high schools will soon have to farm their own food to fight shortages, which might save the government a huge chunk of change on its meal program. The winning schools thanked the farm group and promised to keep at it. The local district boss, Patrick Fiable, tossed in a box of machetes to help out the awards program.
