These include crucial one-on-one chats with major players like Australia, Canada, China, the European Union, India, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Four special three-way meetings will also happen between Malaysia, the ASEAN Secretariat, and partners Brazil, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey. Malaysia has done the hosting honors four times before, back in 1977, 1997, 2005, and 2015.
