ToneLib has launched TL GrandMagus, an amplifier simulation plugin featuring dual channels that span clean to high-gain tones with British-style crunch options. The software includes a cabinet impulse response processor utilizing over 100 manually recorded IRs to simulate microphone placement on speakers, along with five pre- and post-effects applicable across musical styles. Users can integrate the amplifier as an add-on within the TL GFX effects suite version 4.9.0 or later.
The plugin employs adaptive oversampling technology that automatically configures settings based on device capabilities and offers a scalable interface with multiple viewing modes. TL GrandMagus runs on Windows 7 through 11, macOS 10.13 or newer, and Ubuntu 18 or higher in VST2, VST3, AU and standalone formats. The software costs $41.25 through November 24 before increasing to $54.95, with a 14-day trial period available through the ToneLib online store.
