Ueberschall has added a new product to their Instrument Series called Reggae Guitar. This collection focuses on electric and acoustic guitar sounds with complementary electric bass performances included. The product helps musicians create authentic Caribbean musical styles for their projects, regardless of whether they need plugged or unplugged sounds.
The package contains 390 individual loops and phrases with over 2 GB of sample data. These performances can last up to 32 seconds, with recording speeds varying between 80 and 140 BPM. Although most loops have a smooth, laid-back feel, you can easily adjust the tempo using Elastik's powerful features to match your specific project requirements.
The content comes organized in 20 separate folders, each representing a unique musical idea. For electric guitars, every folder includes three guitar parts. You'll find a pre-mixed loop combining these parts with left/right and center panning for convenient use. The left/right components typically focus on rhythmic elements, with the third providing more melodic lines. All parts are available as individual loops in both amped versions (with effects like tape delay and reverb) and dry DI versions. Additional loops feature more extreme effects for expanded sound design options and appropriate endings.
Another set of 20 folders contains matching acoustic guitar performances. These musical ideas also feature three individual guitars, available as premixed stereo loops and as both DI and microphone-based recordings. Since these loops match the electric guitar section performances, you can easily combine acoustic and electric sounds within projects. The package also includes 20 folders of electric bass loops following a similar format, offering DI and amp versions of each matched performance. The amped bass sound delivers deep, full tones that provide all the necessary bottom end for classic reggae mixes.
This loop pack is packed with classic reggae guitar grooves and works perfectly with Ueberschall's Reggae Journey series. Kai Reuter played all guitars and bass. The package comes with the Elastik loop player, which provides efficient time-stretching, pitch-shifting, and polyphonic scale syncing to adapt loops to any project. Creative functions include resampling, formant, reverse, and a multimode filter for sound design opportunities. The tag-based browser can locate specific sounds across all installed Elastik libraries very quickly.
Please note that drum loops heard in the demo are not included in the library. The product contains 2.3 GB of content with 390 loops and phrases for acoustic and electric guitars. It functions as an Elastik Soundbank for Mac/Win with AU/VST/AAX/StandAlone compatibility. Both Elastik Player and Downloader come included, meaning no additional sampler is required. The price is 49 Euros.
